Premiums pay on a majority-of-hours test: evening where most of the shift falls 1800–2400, night where most falls 2400–0600. The weekend premium is unusually broad — $5.75/h covers a Friday evening shift that earns the evening premium, every shift Saturday and Sunday, and a night shift counted as Monday’s first shift. All overtime is a flat 2× with no 1.5× step, rising to 2.5× for overtime worked ON a recognized holiday — a different provision from working the holiday itself, which pays 1.5× plus a lieu day. Manitoba is also the only province besides BC with a general premium: a full-time salary enhancement of $5.95/h from April 1 2025. On a 12-hour pattern the evening premium also applies to each hour after 1600 on the day shift.
