New Brunswick pays a single flat $4.00/h for evenings, nights and weekends alike — the simplest premium schedule in the country. Overtime is 1.5× for the usual triggers (beyond daily or weekly hours, a scheduled day off, a scheduled weekend off, short-notice shift change, after seven consecutive shifts). Article 20.04 then overrides that: hours beyond 37.5 h/week averaged over a four-week period (150 h) are paid at 2×, as is a double shift past 15 hours. A worked statutory holiday pays 1.5×, or regular pay plus half the hours worked as time off; the super stats pay 2× or regular pay plus equal time off, with at least one of the two days off.
