Prince Edward Island nursing pay rates
PEINU – Health PEI · Apr 1 2022 – Mar 31 2025
Expired — in bargaining
Every PEI premium is a majority-of-hours test — you get it on the whole shift or not at all: $4.00/h nights, $3.25/h evenings, $4.00/h weekends. Overtime is 1.5×, including a double shift past 7.5 hours. Holidays are the distinctive part: 13 named holidays plus one float, 1.5× for a worked stat, 2× for Christmas, 3× for Christmas when scheduled on less than 48 hours’ notice, and a further 0.5× on any short-notice unknown vacancy. There is a $5,000/year full-time incentive paid biweekly that onWard does not model. Responsibility and preceptor premiums have no hourly figure in this agreement, so they are left at zero. Expired March 31 2025 and in bargaining.

Check this against your own cheque
onWard holds these Prince Edward Island rates and applies them to the shifts you actually worked — evenings, nights, weekends, overtime at its own multiplier, statutory and super-stat pay, in-charge and preceptor hours, then deductions and net pay. Enter your own base rate and it works for RNs, RPNs and LPNs alike. Every figure is cited to the clause it comes from, so you can check the app’s work against your contract.
